The District’s boundaries are roughly: the Kansas State Line/Missouri River (North); the Kansas/Missouri State Line (East); the Interstate 70 Corridor (South); and the 78th Street Corridor (West) all in Wyandotte County, Kansas City, Kansas.

KS Senate passes House budget plan which relies on taxes

Seat belt, texting ban bills approved

The Legislature has approved a bill that will give police the authority to stop vehicles if drivers or their front-seat passengers aren't wearing seat belts.

Sen. David Haley, D-Kansas City, voted for the bill, but said he remained concerned that minorities would be "stopped for driving while black or brown."
